The DUFOUR model

and its 10 maxims

Normally, law firms bear the name of their partners. Our firm is called DUFOUR – quite simply because our headquarters are on Dufourstrasse, in the heart of Basel.

But there is another reason: when developing our philosophy, we came across some ideas from our namesake, Guillaume-Henri Dufour, general, engineer, cartographer, co-founder of the Red Cross and creator of the Swiss flag, which we introduced into our “Dufour Model”.

Independence, creativity, cooperation, openness, determination, commitment, competence, efficiency, experience and attentiveness – we commit to these 10 maxims of the Dufour Model that guide us in our work with and for our clients.
